ഓരോ ബസ് ക്ലാസിനും കിലോമീറ്ററിന് ഇത്ര പൈസ എന്ന ക്രമത്തിൽ ഒരു നിരക്കുണ്ട്. യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്ന ദൂരത്തെ ആ നിരക്ക് കൊണ്ട് ഗുണിച്ചാണ് ടിക്കറ്റ് തുക കണക്കാക്കുന്നത്.

മിക്ക ക്ലാസുകൾക്കും ഒരു കുറഞ്ഞ നിരക്ക് കൂടിയുണ്ട്. കണക്കാക്കിയ തുക ആ കുറഞ്ഞ നിരക്കിലും താഴെയാണെങ്കിൽ കുറഞ്ഞ നിരക്കാണ് ഈടാക്കുക. കുറഞ്ഞ നിരക്ക് പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ക്ലാസുകളുമുണ്ട്; അവിടെ പട്ടികയിൽ ഒരു സംഖ്യയ്ക്ക് പകരം വര മാത്രമേ കാണൂ.

Every bus class carries a rate expressed in paise per kilometre. A ticket is that rate multiplied by the distance travelled.

Most classes also carry a minimum fare. Where the calculated amount falls below it, the minimum is charged instead. Some classes have no published minimum at all, and the table shows a dash rather than a figure for those.

The rate card in force is dated 1 May 2022. The exact rate and minimum for each class are in the table on the Fares page, which is generated from the Corporation's own rate record. That is why no figure from it is retyped here: a stale fare is wrong money.
